Capacity Assessment and Development
Our overall goal is to enable local organizations not only deliver on their mandates better but also to expand opportunities for them to receive more government and development partner support directly. This partnership-based programme seeks to strengthen the capacity of local organizations institutionally and technically so that they can become integral to the ability of Uganda to address a variety of social, economic, and environmental challenges that are hindering the quality of life of the Ugandan people.
In order to provide meaningful tailor-made Organizational Capacity Development support to local organizations, we facilitate self-assessment using Participatory Organizational Capacity Assessment tool (PODA) to identify capacity gaps within the organizations. We render Capacity Development services to local and international organizations in any of the following areas:
- Government and NGO Board Training;
- Establishment of M&E System and staff training;
- Strategic Plan facilitation;
- Development of Communication Strategy;
- Financial Management Training (including development of standard financial operating procedures)
- Development of Financial Sustainability and Resource Mobilization Strategy;
- Development of Governing Board Charter;
- Development of Human Resource Manual;
- Training on report writing and success stories;
- Regulatory Impact Assessment for Policy and Law Making;
- Development of Gender and Equity Compliance Assessment Tools; and
- Public Investment Management (PIM).
